1. Who we are

Finelib Jobs is operated by FineLib Technologies Ltd, Abuja, Nigeria ("Finelib", "we", "us"). Contact: [email protected], 070-57728249, 081-33802232.

2. Information from job seekers

Browsing and searching do not require an account. We do not ask for your name, phone or email to view jobs.

Free tools (CV Builder, Cover Letter Writer, Take-home Pay Calculator, Interview Prep, Application Tracker, Scam Checker) run in your web browser. What you type is stored only in your browser's local storage on your device so you can come back to it. It is not sent to Finelib. You can delete it at any time with the "Clear" buttons in each tool or by clearing your browser data.

Saved jobs are stored the same way, on your device only.

Applying for a job happens directly with the employer, by their email, website or walk-in address. Finelib does not receive or keep your application. The employer's own privacy practices apply to what you send them.

Reports you send us about a job (by email or WhatsApp) are used only to investigate the job and are kept for up to 12 months.

3. Information from employers

When you submit a job we collect: business name, Finelib listing link, CAC number, address, contact person, phone, work email and the job details. We use this to verify the vacancy, contact you about it, and publish the approved job. Business name, location, job details and the application method you choose are published. Your contact person's name and phone are not published unless you choose them as the application method.

Submissions are stored as files on our server for up to 24 months and then deleted, unless needed to resolve a complaint.

4. Public job adverts we collect

Our system reads public job adverts from the websites of businesses listed on Finelib (their careers pages and job boards). These adverts are about vacancies, not about individuals. If an advert includes a named contact person, we show only what the employer published, and we remove it on request.

5. Technical data and cookies

Like any website, our web server records standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time) for security and to keep the service running. Finelib Jobs does not set advertising cookies. If Finelib.com analytics are in use across the site, they are described in the main Finelib Privacy Policy.

6. Legal basis and your rights

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Our legal bases are your consent (for reports and submissions you choose to send) and our legitimate interest in running a safe, verified jobs service. You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, or object to its use, by emailing [email protected]. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

7. Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who host our website or send email for us, or where the law requires.

8. Security

Submissions are stored in a folder that is not accessible from the web, and the site is served over HTTPS. No method is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive documents (such as ID cards or bank details) to Finelib.

9. Children

Finelib Jobs is meant for people aged 18 and over. Employers may not use it to recruit anyone under the legal working age.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top will change and significant changes will be noted on the home page.
