What to check before you buy

Compare price per gram. Milo refills are 800g, Ovaltine pouches 700g and Bournvita jars 900g.

Refill packs cost much less than tins or jars, so keep a jar and refill it.

Check that the seal and NAFDAC number are intact, and avoid lumpy or damp powder.

Bournvita large packs often sell out, so 380–450g packs may be all you can find.
