Benue State Local Government Areas

Ado LGA of Benue State is located in the town of Igumale, which is under southern senatorial zone of the state, consisting the communities and towns of Igah, Igedde, Ijigbam, Ikponkpon, Ogbee, Olekwu, Osabo, Osipi, Osukpo, Oturupo, Abisunya and Achibila.

Agatu is a LGA of Benue State, which is in the town of Obagaji and also one of the nine local councils under southern senatorial geo-political zone in the stand consist the districts of Agatu and Obaji including other settlements.

Apa Local Government Area is in the town of Ugbokpo and the area consists the town and communities of Ugbokpo, Iga, Akpete, Oiji, Ojope, Igoro, Ochekwu, Edikwu II, Achaba, Ahija, Adija, Akpanta, Amoke, Auke and some other settlements.

Buruku is one of the LGA located in the town of Buruku and the area is made up of the districts and vilages like Buruku, Etilo, Mbaakura, Binev, Mbaade, Mbaatirkya, Mbaazager, Mbarkyongo, Mbatyough, Mbaya, Mbayaka and Shorov and rest of other villages.

Gboko is a local government area of Benue State sited in the town of Gboko and the local government area also consist the district of Gboko Rural & wards like Gboko East, Gboko North West, Gboko South, Igyorov, Mbaa Varakaa, Mbaanku, Mbadam and Mbakper.

Guma LGA of Benue State is located in the town of Gbajimba and the area is made up of the districts of Mbaawa, Mbabai, Mbasaan, Mbagwen and Uyiev, Daudu, Torkula, Kase-yough, Abinsi, Mbabegha, Agasha each containing villages and settlements.

Gwer East is a local government area in Benue State with its administrative headquarters in the town of Aliade and the council consists the districts and communities of Yonor, Ngyonov, Njiriv, Raav, Mbakpa and many other villages under each districts.

Gwer West LGA is domiciled in the town of Naka and the major towns and communities of the area are Naka, Aondoana, Agagbe, Naji Camp, Jimba, Bunka, Kule, Yonov, Mbakpa, Raav, Njiriv, Ingohov, Ikyande and Enger.

Katsina-Ala is a major town and also the headquarters of the Katsina-Ala local government council and the area is made of the districts of Katsina-ota, Gbor, Ammatu, Tor-Donga, Abaji, Sai, Harga, Mbaton and Gbise.

Konshisha is one of the Local Government Area in Benue State with its headquarters residing in the town of Tse-Agberagba and the area consists of other major towns of Tse-Agberagba, Gungul, Mbavaa, Aba, Abagi, Aduu,Korinya & other communities and clans.

Kwande Local Government Area is located in the town of Adikpo and the area is made of the district Nanev, Turan, Ikurave-Ya and Shangev-Ya, Tse-Gum-Mbayevikyaior, Ahile/AKende, Ahundu, Dio, each with compositions of many communities and villages.

Logo is a local government area of the state with administrative headquarters in Ugba Town as the area contains districts of Torov, Mbaterem, Ucha, Gaambe Tiev, Ngenev, Ugondo, Tongov, Kpav, Gaambe-Va and Kyuran-Tiev, with each district

Makurdi is the state capital, also serves as the LGA headquarters of Makurdi LGA, which consists the district of Makurdi (Rural) containing the vilages of Adaka, Adeke, Ajam, Agbadu, Agbeshir, Agenada, Akaan, Aki, Akigwe, Akpehe, Akume, Alla and Anter.

OBI LGA has its administrative headquarter in the town of Obarike-Ito and the area consist districts of Ito, Adudu, Agwatashi, Akanga, Uwokwu and Igede, as each of the district contains villages and clans farming in the local government area of the state.

Ogbadibo is a local government area of the state with headquarters in the town of Otukpa, as the area also consists of towns of Ovakam, Owukpa and Otukpa with numerous communities and villages.

Ohimini LGA is located in the town of Idekpa-Okpiko and the area contains the major district of Onyagede and communities of Ogodu, Enumona, Ogoli, Ogande, Umonomi, Okpiko, Iyaya, Idekpa, Awume and Ikpoke.

Oju is a Local Government Area with its headquarters in the town of Oju and the area comprises the districts of Igede central known as Oju and Uwokwu also known as Oju II, each having other villages such as Abelega, Adega, Abofutu, Adiko, Ameka & Akunda.

Okpokwu is one of the local government area in the state located in the town of Okpoga and the area consists districts of Ichanna, Orokam, Otukpa, Owukpa, Okpoga and Edumoga.

Otukpo is a town and headquarters of Otukpo LGA of the state and the area consists the districts and communities of Otukpo central, Ugboju-Ehole, Ugboju-Icho, Ugboju-Otehe, Adoka-Icho, Adoka-Itaje, Ewulo, Okete, Oturkpo town east and Otukpo town west.

Tarka LGA is located in the town of Mannume and the local government area is made up of the districts and villages of Tarka, Mbaajir, Akaa, Mbaigba, Mbaayo, Tongor, Yandev, Ipav, Mbayion, Mbatie, Mbalagh, Kusuv, Utur, Shorov, Mbagen, Mbatiav & Mbatierev.

Ukum is a local government area in Benue State with headquarters in the town of Sankera and the area is made of the districts of Borikyo, Aterayange, Mbatian, Uvan, Ituuluv, Lumbur, Mbazum, Tsaar, Mbayenge, Ugbadan, Kendav and Azendesh.

Ushongo LGA has its administrative headquarters in the town of Lessel and the council consists the districts and communities of Mbaoka, Lessel, Mbagba, Mbakuha, Ikov, Mbaikyaa, Ushongo, Utange, Atirkyese and Mbaivende.

Vandeikya is a town and the headquarters of Vandeikya LGA and the area is made of districts and communities of Mingev, Mbaka-Ange, Mbaduka, Mbagbera, Mbayongo, Mbara, Ute, Mbava and Tsambe.
