The Local Government has about one hundred and forty (140) town and villages under its jurisdiction. Egbado South LGA shares boundaries with the Republic of Benin and the Egbado North, Ipokia, and Ifo LGAs. The Yewa and Egun dialects of the Yoruba language are spoken in the area while the widely practiced religions in the area include Christianity and Islam.
Farming is the major occupation they are been known with especially in the cultivation of crops such as rice, cocoa, and palm oil. Other occupation aside from farming business some engage in this LGA is textile weaving, dyeing and blacksmithing.
