The Local Government has about one hundred and forty (140) town and villages under its jurisdiction. Egbado South LGA shares boundaries with the Republic of Benin and the Egbado North, Ipokia, and Ifo LGAs. The Yewa and Egun dialects of the Yoruba language are spoken in the area while the widely practiced religions in the area include Christianity and Islam.
