Why prices differ

Brand matters a lot: budget Elepaq, Tiger and Lutian units cost far less than Sumec Firman, Mikano or Perkins.

Key-start, wheels, copper windings and soundproof canopies all add to the price.

Diesel generators cost far more than petrol ones of similar size but suit long daily running.

Almost all generators are imported, so the exchange rate and import duties drive price changes.
