MASA 2026

The Market for Abidjan Performing Arts (MASA) is the organizer of MASA, a cultural development event and program for the performing arts professionals, which creates a market, festival, and forum for them to discuss and network.

The 14th edition of MASA in Abidjan, Ivory Coast, will take place from 11th to 18th April 2026.

Application Submission:

• The MASA website uses the available online application form.

•  Sent to the Directorate General of MASA (by email), Plateau, Rue Toussaint Louverture 09, BP 2877, Abidjan 09 - Côte d'Ivoire, before 30 August 2023, with authentic postmark.

Regarding the official selection, the list of selected groups for the event will be announced on or before October 2023.

The event welcomes over 50 music artists, dancers, stand-up comedians, storytellers, street artists, and an exhibition of old and contemporary artworks.

MASA is a cultural platform that promotes African performing arts, aiming to support creativity and high-quality production.

The event will promote the development of African artists and their works in both the local and international markets. The festival committees have screened all the groups presenting at the festival, and it will feature many social activities.

Over 200 applications have been received from exhibitors who will showcase artworks confirmed from many African countries, including Algeria, Bahrain, Belgium, Benin, Nigeria, and others.

Conditions for the groups that will be performing at the event: the size of the group must not exceed:

03 people for standup comedy

03 people for Slam

04 people for the storytelling

08 people for Contemporary Dance

10 people for the Music

10 people for the Theater

15 people for the traditional Dance

All the presentations are original, with the date of creation, theme, approach, and summary of the story staged.
