Katsina State Local Government Areas

Bakori LGA is located in the town of Bakori, as the council area consist other communities of Kakumi, Kandarawa, Kurami/Yankwani, Tsiga, Kabomo, Jargaba, Guga, Dawan Musa, Magaji, Kwantakwaram, Gazara and Barde.

Batagarawa LGA is a town and also the area council headquarters covering districts of Batagarawa, Barawa, Jino, Kayauki, Tsanni, Yargamji, Ajiwa, Bikiyawa and Dandagoro.

Batsari LGA is situated in the town of Batsari and the area council consists other communities of Kagara, Abadau, Batsari, Magaji, Kandawa, Karare, Madogara, Manawa, Ruma, Wagini, Yauyau/Mailamawa and Yangaiya.

Baure LGA has its administrative centre in Baure Town and the council area is made of districts of Agala, Baure, Garki, Kagara, Mai-Bara, Taramnawa, Yanduna, Unguwar, Muduri, Babban-Mutum, Yanmauuli Rai and Hui.

Bindawa LGA of Katsina State is situated in the town of Bindawa with the council districts of Doro, Faru/Dallaji, Gaiwa, Giremawa, Jibawa, Kamri, Shibdawa, Tama/Daye, Yangoro and other sub towns and villages.

Charanchi LGA headquarters is found in the Town of Charanchi, which area council covers communities of Banye, Charanchi, Doya, Radda, Safana, Ganuwa, Koda, Kuraye, Tsakatsa, Maje, Wayya, Dafara, Kadanye, Kumuye, Kuraje, Tsaski, Yaruku, and Yana.

Dan-Musa LGA is a town and doubles as one of the existing local government areas in the state, it is the area council headquarters & comprises of districts & wards of Dan Ali, Dan Alkima, Dandire 1 & 2, Dan Musa 1 & 2, Mai Dobino 1 & 2, Mara & Yantumaki.

DanDume LGA Headquarters is sited in the town of Dandume, which area council consist of communities of Magaji Wando 1 & 2, Dandume 1 & 2, Mahuta 1 & 2, Nasaarawa, Tumbarkai, Dan-Soda, Dantakari, Ilalla, Jiruwa, Magaji-Wando, Mahuta and Mai Kwama.

Danja Local Government Area has its administrative seat located in the town of Danja among other communities of Dabai, Danja, Jiba, Kahutu, Tandama, Tsaugamuwa (Tsangamawa) and Yakaji.

Daura LGA is in the town of Daura with an area council covering other communities like Daberam, Gurjiya, Sharawa Daura, Maji Yawa, Yarogel, Ganga, Suduji, Bauni, Zari, Bojo, Daura, Don-Nakola Garjiya, Dunu, Lambu-Tudu, Jambu, Kalgo, Kamfawa, Kurneji etc.

Dutsi LGA of Katsina Stte with headquarters in the town of Dutsi covering other communities of Baugel, Dan Rumai, Sirika, Madawa, Kayawa, Macinawa, Makan Gara, Tashar-Wali, Yamel, Shargalle, Danaunai, Dinya Mai, Be'al, Beguwa, Danaunai, Dan-Kowa & more.

Dutsin-Ma Local Government Area of Katsina state is one of the existing 34 LGAs in the state and has its administrative seat in the town of Dustin-Ma & other districts like Bagagadi, Dagelawai, Dan-Ali, Dorawa, Katanga, Dabawa, Kagara, Rayi-Faguwa & more.

Faskari LGA is in the town of Faskari, as the council area comprises other communities of Mairuwa, Bakarya, Doma, Bagudu, Bele, Bilbis, Karmanje U/Bikka, Fankama, Kogo, Kwabirshawa, Mai Gora, Birnin Kogo, D/Ba'u, Kwakware Sheme, Daudawa, Kanon Haki etc.

Funtua LGA is headquartered in semi-urban town of Funtua and the area council covers districts of Dukke, F/Dadutsi, F/Maikatawa, F/Ta Gabas, F/TaYamma, F/Tanimu, F/Tudu, F/Wawa, Farin, Goya, Illala, Jabiri, Maigamiji, Mairuwa, Makera, Maska and more.

Ingawa LGA is one of the existing local government areas in the Katsina state, its administrative seat is located in Ingawa Town and serves as the council headquarters covering other communities of Agayawa, Bidore, Dara, Yaya, Dugul, Daunaka, Jobe etc.

Jibia LGA is a local Government Area of Katsina State with headquarters on the town of Jibia, as the council area consists of the districts of Farfaru, Mallamawa, Gangara, Kusa, Riko, Yangaiya, Gulbin Baure, Magama, Maje, Mallamawa, Mazanya and Bugaje.

Kafur LGA is a town & also an area council headquarters comprising districts of Yari-Bori, Masari, Mahuta, Gozaki, Kanya, Dustin Kura, Dantutture, Yar-Talata, Kafur, Rigaji, Barakai, Dan Kanjiba, Dan Kwaro, Dantige, Dayawa, Dutse, Dutsin-Yanke & Gamzako.

Kaita LGA is situated in the town of Kaita covering the districts of Baawa, Dankaba, Dankama, Girka, Karta, Matsai, Yandaki, Yanhoho, Abdallawa, Allemi, Bado, Dagon Dawa, Damgamji, DanBazau, DanKunama, DanTudu, Dankunama, Daurawa, Tsamiye, Dumbasa etc.

Kankara LGA counts as the largest of the area council in the state and consist of the districts of Kankara, Zango, Zabaro, Wawarkaza, Hurya, Burdugau, Dan Murabu Garaji, Dan Maidaki, Gatakawa, Kukasheka, Pauwa, Almajiraiwa, Arewa, Bagoma, Da-Kumeji etc.

Kankia or Kankiya LGA is located in the town of Kankia with an area council consisting of other communities like Sakuntuni, Rimaye, Tafashiya, Nassarawa, Kunduru, Kafin Dangi, Fakuwa, Galadima, Gachi, Gyaza, Magam, Kankia, Tsa, Dan Doro, Gidan Mutum etc.

Katsina LGA is located in the city of Katsina & consists other districts such as Wakilin Yamma, Galadiman, Gabasawa, Baki Yawa, Dandagora, Galadiman Arewa, Ajiwa, Dustin Safe, Galadiman Kudu, Gwado, Jino, Kayauki, Madaji Madu, Modoji, Shinkafi & more.

Kurfi LGA is a town that doubles as an area council headquarters, covering other communities of Birchi, Barkiya, Rawayau, Tsauri, Wurma, Gwanzo, Kufan Agga, Kware, Tamawa and Tamu.

Kusada LGA is situated in the town of Kusada, as the area council covers communities of Kofa, Dudunni, Yashe, Kusada, Bauranya, Aganta, Baurawa, Dangamau, Kai-Kai, Magama-Gidan Mutun Daya, Mairana, Mawashi and Tufani.

Mai-Adua LGA headquarters is in the town of Mai'Adua and the area council covers communities of Koza, Mai-Koni, Natsalle, Mai-Adua, Saitawa, Makerawa, Kwadage, Galadimawa, Baida, Buduma, Bula, Daba, Dadin Sarki, Dagon Hawa, Dagura, Dan Nasara, Kurchi etc.

Malumfashi LGA is a town which also serves as the administrative area council headquarters, among other communities are Yarmama, Yaba, Rawan Sanyi, Na-Alma, Karfi, Dayi, Birin Dawa, Dansarai, Gorar Dansaka, Agagiwa, Allah Madagara, Almakiyayi, Yaro etc.

Mani LGA is sited in the town of Mani, and is one of the 34 LGAs that made up Katsina State, other area council districts are Bagiwa, Kwotta, Machika, Muduru, Jani, Bujawa, Gewayau, Aliyaba, Bakan Karo, Birjiwa, Dawan-Makawu, Duwan, Gajema, Hancheta etc.

Mashi LGA is a town and also the administrative are council headquarters, comprising districts of Gallu, Jigawa, Karau, Sonkaya, Tamilo, Agalla, Badauri, Bamle, Birnin Kuka, Dindiyel, Dokawa, Jigawa, Karawa, Majigiri, Mashi, Morawa, Shargalle, Saye etc.

Matazu LGA is located in the town of Matazu and the council area covers other communities of Sayaya, Mazoji, Kogari, Karaduwa, Gwarjo, Dissii, Dan-Kwari, Gidan-Dangata, Gidan-Karo, Gyazawa, Jataka, Jumawa, Karmatako, Rinjin-Gora, Rinjin-Idi and more.

Musawa LGA has an administrative headquarters in the town of Musawa & the area council is made up of the districts of Dangani, Danjanku, Karachi, Gingin, Tuge, Yaradau, Tabanni, Kurkujan, Kira, Aljawa, Daminawa, Dan Kado, Farin-Dutse, Filalawa, Garu etc.

Rimi LGA is a town and doubles as an area council headquarters, the area council consists of other communities of Sabon-Garin, Iyatawa, Kurabau, Masabo, Makurda, Remawa, Majengobir, Kadandani, Fardami, Abukur, Allaraini, Bardayya, Bujawa, Dan Musa & more.

Sabuwa LGA is in the town of Sabuna & the area council is made of other communities like Sayau, Damari, Dugun Mu'Azu, Gamji, Machika, Rafin Iwa, Maibbako, Albasa, Awala, Doka, Gazari, Ginanna Gobirawa, Hayin Issau, Kabalawa, Katsalle, Mazare, Rumada etc.

Safana LGA is in the town of Safana & the council area consists of communities of Zakka, Runka, Baure, Tsaskiya, B/Dahu, Bare-Bari, Baude, Dabbana Duhu, Dan-Jukku, Dan-Magaya, Gora, Guzarawa, Illela, Kunamawa, Maikada, Mammadau, Moniya, Unadau & Yarlilo.

Sandamu LGA is a town & also the area council headquarters which covers districts of Danji, Rade, Sandamu, Katsayal, Karkarku, Kwasarawa, Dadin-Kowa, Rijiyar Tsamiya, Ruma, Damagi Yan-Manuwa, Duku-Duku, Fago, Gazori, Ingawa, Jar-Kuka, Jiba, Kaibaki etc.

Zango LGA is one of the existing 34 LGAs in Katsina State with administrative seat in the town of Zango, among other communities that made up the LGA are Yardaje, Sara, Dargage, Garni, Gwamba, Kanda, Kawarin Kudi, Ragogo-Cidari, Molawamai Madaka & more.
