Anambra State Local Government Areas

Aguata LGA is headquartered in AGUATA and is one of the existing 21 LGAs of the state, while the towns of Achina, AguluezeChukwu, Akpo, Amesi, Ekwuluobia, Ezinifite, igbo-Ukwu, Isuofia, Uga, Umuchu, Nkpologwu, Oraeri, isuanaoma, Umuona, and Ikenga fall.

Anambra East Local Government Area is located in the town of Otuocha which is one of the 21 LGAs in the state and the towns that make up the LG are Umueri, Aguleri, Otuocha, Enugwu-Aguleri, Eziagulu-Otu, Enugwu-Otu, Anam, Igbariam, Nando & Nsugbe.

Anambra West LGA is domiciled at the town of Nzam, one of the 21 LGAs in the state with the composition of the following towns of Ezianam, ifite-Anam, Nzam, Olumbanasa, Oroma-Etiti, Umueze-Anam & Umuenwelum-Anam, which is under the council administration.

Anaocha LGA headquarters is in the town of Neni and one of the 21 LGAs of the state, and the towns that make up the LGA are Neni, Adazi-Enu, Adazi-Nnukwu, Agulu, Aguluzigbo, Ichida, Obeledu, Nri and more.

Awka North Local Government Area has its headquarters at Achalla Town and amongst the 21 serving LGAs in the state and the towns of Achalla, Amansea, Amanuke, Ebenebe, Isu-Aniocha, Mgbakwu, Ugbene, Ugbu-enu and Urum made up the LGA.

Awka South LGA is at Awka Town and counts as one of the 21 existing LGAs of the state comprising the towns of Amawbia, Ifite-Akwa, Ezinato, Ishiagu, Mbaukwu, Nibo, Nise, Okpuno, Umuawulu, under its administration.

Ayamelum LGA is sited in the town of Anaku, and amongst the existing 21 LGAs in the state and the LG council consits of the towns of Anaku, Omor, Omasi, Igbakwu, Umueje, Umumbo, Ifite Ogwari, and Umuerum.

Dunukofia LGA is headquatered at Ukpo Town which you can enter from Enugu-Onitsha Express or Ukpo Junction, & functions as one of the 21 LGAs of the state. Following towns such as Ukpo, Nawgu, Ifite-Dunu, Ukwulu, Umudioka, and Umunachi make up the LGA.

Ekwusigo LGA is headquartered in Ozubulu and serves as one of the 21 existing councils of the state and the towns of Ozubulu, Oraifite, Ichi and Ihembosi are the components of the council.

Idemili North LGA is headquartered in Ogidi & functions as one of the 21 serving councils of the state & the towns of Ogidi, Abacha, Abatete, Eziowelle, Ideani, Nkpor, Obosi, Oraukwu, Uke, & Umuoji fall under the sphere of the council administration.

Idemili South Local Government Area is in the town of Ojoto and serves as one of the 21 LGAs in the state and the towns in the council are Ojoto, Alor, Akwa-Ukwu, Awka-Etiti, Nnobi, Nnokwa, Umunachi and Oba.

Ihiala LGA is located in the town of Ihiala Town and is amongst the 21 existing councils and comprises of the following towns of Ihiala, Azia, Okija, Mbosi, Amorka, Isseke, Orsumoghu, Ubuluisiuzor, Uli, Lilu and more which can be seen below.

Njikoka LGA is sited in the town of Abagana and functions as one of the 21 LGAs and the towns includes Abagana, Enugwu-Ukwu, Nimo, Enugwu-Agidi, Nawfia and Abba fall under this administration of the council.

Nnewi North Local Government Area is in the town of Nnewi and counts as one of the 21 existing councils with compositions of four autonomous sub-towns of Otolo, Uruagu, Umudim, and Nnewi-Ichi.

Nnewi South Local Government Area is located in Ukpor Town and the towns that make up the LGA are Ukpor, Ekwulumili, Amichi, Azigbo, Unubi, Osumenyi, Ogbodi, Ebenator, Utuh, Ezinifite and Akwaihedi.

Ogbaru LGA is in the town of Atani and the LG comprises of Akili Ogidi, Atani, Akili Ozizor, Amiyi, Mputu, Obeagwe, Ohita, Odekpe, Ogbakugba, Ochuche Umuodu, Ossomala, Ogwu-Aniocha, Umunankwo, Umuzu, Okpoko and Ogwu Ikpere.

Onitsha North Local Government Area is headquartered in Onitsha Town and Onitsha is the only town that make up the Local Government Area.

Onitsha South Local Government Area headquarters in Fegge Town of Onitsha and the districts of upper Iweka, Odoakpu, Woliwo, Awada, Ochanja and more, make up the LGA which is among the 21 LGAs in Anambra State.

Orumba North Local Government Area is located in the town of Ajalli and the local government covers the towns of Akpu, Ajalli, Amaokpalla, Amaetiti, Awa, Nanka, Ndikelionwu, Ndiokolo, Ndiokpola, Ndiowu, Ndiukwue, Okpoeze, Omogho, Awgbu and Ufuma.

Orumba South Local Government Area is in Umunze Town and the towns that the LGA council covers are Agbudu, Ezira, Eziagu, Enugwu-Umuonyia ihite, Isulo, Ndiokpoleze, Nkerehi, Ogboji, Ogbunka, Onneh, Owerre-Ezukala, Umunzem and Umuomoku.

Oyi LGA is in the town of Nteje and the local govt. consists of the towns of Ogbunnike, Awkuzu, Nkwelle -Ezunaka, Nteje, Umunebe and Umunya.
