Yewa North Local Government Area, formerly known as Egbado North Local Government was created on 13th December, 1976 through a Local Government Edict No.9 having its administrative headquarters domicile in Ayetoro town.
The inhabitants are mainly Yoruba, speaking various dialects and comprises of Yewa- Ketus. Their major occupation is farming and trading, and is endowed with large expense of fertile land which they use to specialize in different food and cash crops with a large deposit of mineral resources such as Limestone and Kaolin for industrial potentials.

YEWA NORTH L.G.A is a blessed land in Ogun state full of natural resources but we face a lot of problems base on under development. When we talk of Electricity we have 25% which is very bad. Come to Agriculture we have about 85%.
