SPAN is ‘Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria’, a Non-Governmental Organisation set up in February 2005 with the aim of creating a world standard for performing arts education and expression in Nigeria. With the vision to build to a performing arts centre in Nigeria where we will educate, empower and present the performing artists and their God given talents, SPAN offers exceptional opportunities in dance, music, theatre and visual arts to talented Nigerian youth, by inspiring, training, and empowering them, so that their creativity is unleashed.

For over 13 years, we have been able to train over 2,500 people with very limited financial means through the SPAN Dance Academy, the SPAN Theatre & Film Academy and the SPAN Academy of Jazz and Contemporary Music, most of whom have gone on to be successful entrepreneurs, successful artistes, music instructors, dance instructors etc.
