Njaba LGA is a local Government Area of Imo State amongst the 27 existing LG council located in the town of Nnenasa with the districts of Umuaka, Okwudor, Amucha and Attah consisting of numerous autonomous communities and clans making up the LGA.

The Local Government Area of Njaba was created in the year 1991 from Isu LGA, and got its name from the popular Njaba River.
The LGA which comprises of so many towns and villages shares boundaries with Oru LGA at the East, Isu LGA by the West, and Mbaitoli LGA.
The Executive Chairman of the LGA is responsible for the collection and enforcement of revenues through the designated authority and operates at the grass root level.
