Essence International School was established in 1982 and currently operates pre-nursery, nursery, primary, and secondary educational sections in Kaduna. It all started as a nursery school and now has expanded over the years to include all grades up to the final year of secondary school.

Different kinds of sporting activities such as football, basketball, swimming, polo, and bicycle riding are all available in the school to keep the students and pupils fit, healthy and lively.

The secondary section is divided into two major parts viz: Arts & Sciences and Pure Science students. Both of them provide rich educational options for students to develop their knowledge and skills in many areas such as Biology, Fine Art, Chemistry, Physics, Technical Drawing, Languages, and Data Processing.
