How the estimate works

For people-based demand, daily consumption equals number of users × entered litres per person per day, plus any entered additional daily demand. Direct-demand mode uses the entered litres/day directly. Required storage equals daily demand × reserve days, with the selected contingency added. The tool then rounds the requirement up to whole tanks of the selected nominal capacity. In duration mode, available tank capacity is divided by estimated daily demand to show approximate days of storage.
