Kano International Trade Fair

The 47th Kano International Trade Fair is an annual business exhibition scheduled to take place from November 27th to December 11th, 2026, at the Trade Fair Complex, Zoo Road, Kano. The Kano Chamber of Commerce and Industry organises it.

The Kano International Trade Fair started in 1959. The fair has been held annually as a regional trade fair to date.

The trade show will attract well over two million visitors, with participants from Nigerian firms and multinational, foreign-based manufacturing/other service providers. 

Kano International Trade Fair is a platform that provides opportunities for participants to display their products and exchange ideas in business promotion and development.

The fair also helps businessmen and women build business contacts and relationships with partners from within and outside the country to support economic development.

Kano International Trade Fair is an exhibition platform where manufacturers showcase their products and test their skills against established brands.

Kano state is strategically situated at the centre of Northern Nigeria. The state has served as a primary gateway to the nation and as the southern hub of the trans-Saharan trade route to the countries.

It serves as a regional trade hub, servicing a market of more than 300 million people in northern Nigeria, nearby countries such as Niger, Chad, and Cameroon, as well as across the Sahel economic zone/North Africa.

Kano city also hosts over 400 manufacturing companies, including seed processing, rice milling, animal feed production, and textiles.

Kano has an international airport, the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, which has been the major airport for international visitors to the trade fair event, and it has been active since 1936

In 2010, the World Bank ranked Kano 8th in Nigeria for doing business, ahead of Lagos, Enugu, Kaduna, Abuja, and Calabar. 

The international Trade fair provides manufacturers and business services companies with the opportunity not only to connect with their customers but also to introduce new services, showcase, and sell their products.
