The 47th Kaduna Fair and Shows is an annual event and a famous African trade show organised by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADCCIMA), scheduled to take place from 6th to 15th February 2026 at the Trade Fair Complex, Rigachikun, Kaduna
This yearly event is organised by the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (KADCCIMA).
It will accommodate both local and international businesses, including manufacturers, retailers, suppliers, distributors, and more.
This year, companies from China, India, Egypt, Bangladesh, Iran, Pakistan, Cameroon, and the Niger Republic have indicated interest in participating in this show.
The fair will also feature expositions of the latest products and technologies in electronics, phones, herbal supplements, kitchen equipment, and a wide variety of Nigerian- and international-made products.
This international trade fair in Kaduna will also create job opportunities for unemployed youths and boost the state's economic activities.
The Kaduna Nigeria International Trade Fair is one of the largest international trade exhibitions in Nigeria, gathering producers and manufacturers to showcase their latest products for sale and business promotion.
The Kaduna International Trade Fair is regarded as the major annual event in the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce and Industry's calendar.
The fair initially began as a biannual domestic event focusing on the agricultural sector in 1974. The event continued until 1979, when the fair became an internationally planned annual event.
The first Kaduna International Trade Fair was held in February 1979 at Murtala Mohammed Square and featured 205 exhibitors.
The event continued to develop significantly, providing an avenue for promoting all aspects of the economic sectors through international and national partnerships.
It also fosters the development of industries and industrial inputs, creating a conducive environment for joint venture projects across all economic sectors between Nigeria and other nations.
It is a unique event that occurs annually in Kaduna state because it plays a crucial role in the nation's overall economic, social, and industrial development.
The fair attracts producers and manufacturers of goods and services from across the globe to exhibit their products, thereby promoting business.
Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (KADCCIMA) is currently seeking the support of trade groups and foreign investors ahead of the 2021 edition of the international trade fair in Kaduna. The fair also showcases all aspects of the economic sectors through cooperation between national and international sectors.
The KADCCIMA president disclosed that there has been a large turnout both internationally and locally, indicating significant interest in participating in the fair.
He stated that over 70 international and local exhibitors are expected at this year's event. Some of the countries he mentioned, such as Pakistan, India, Cameroon, China, the Niger Republic, Egypt, Bangladesh, and Iran, have so far expressed interest in participating in the fair.
He also said that the fair is expected to be declared open by President Muhammadu Buhari around February 2021, with the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir el-Rufai, as the chief host.
The president of the Kaduna Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, Dr. Muheeba F. Dankaba, also disclosed that among the lined-up events to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the International Trade Fair is a quiz competition that will be held between senior secondary school students from the 19 northern states, and also a business roundtable.
Participants in the events will include local and international visitors from neighboring countries, investors, manufacturers, marketers, and distributors, as well as the ECOWAS sub-region and beyond.
