The 36th edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2027) is the 34th edition of the tournament. It will be hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from 19 June to 18 July 2027
The tournament will showcase 24 of Africa’s very best national teams, alongside thousands of supporters, in a vibrant celebration of Africa’s passion for the beautiful game at the heart of East Africa.
The nation’s entry for the 2027 edition of the tournament is a vital confirmation of their commitment to hosting Africa’s flagship group of competitions in our country. In Nairobi, Dar Es Salaam, Arusha, Zanzibar, Kampala, Hoima, Lira, and select other cities, matches will be held in modern and refurbished stadiums, making East Africa a grand festival of sport, music, and color.
AFCON 2027 will provide unforgettable moments, both on and off the field, from the expected curtain-raiser at Benjamin Mkapa National Stadium in Dar es Salaam, to showpiece matches at Kasarani and the new Talanta Sports City in Nairobi, and memorable nights at Namboole in Kampala. The tournament will not only leave a lasting legacy but also improve infrastructure, benefit youth football, spur tourism growth, and foster greater regional cooperation.
