African Fashion Week- London

The 13th edition of the African Fashion Week, London (AFWL) has been scheduled to take place on the 20th - 23rd August 2026 at the Kensington & Chelsea Events and Conference Center, London.

It is an annual two-day fashion event that showcases and celebrates emerging and established African designers.

Since it commenced in 2011, Africa Fashion Week has hosted 7 catwalks and contributed expertise to over 12 events produced by 3rd parties, such as the Mayor of London's Black Month celebrations and the annual Africa Center Summer Festival. 

The event will feature catwalk shows, presentations, exhibitions, business development programs, and other related events from top fashion designers, model casting, hair styling, makeup shows, and more.

The event is aimed at promoting existing and emerging designers in Nigeria and across Africa, helping them improve and build sustainable livelihoods, supporting education, and creating jobs and skills training through fashion.

African Fashion Week London was founded by Ronke Ademiluyi in 2011. It is known as Europe's biggest fashion event that focuses on nurturing and promoting African and African-inspired design talent. 

The annual event is geared toward creating a platform for tourist attractions, helping the country understand the potential of its fashion industry, and grooming emerging fashion talent.

With a team comprising experienced fashion industry experts and business professionals, African Fashion Week is fully committed to supporting African and African-inspired designers by building a sustainable, globally recognized business that promotes social change in Africa.  

AFWL is Europe's largest African fashion exhibition, attracting thousands of designers and spectators from across Africa and from the diaspora.
