HuntEx 2026 is Africa's largest hunting, firearm, and outdoor show, scheduled for 24th to 27th April 2026 at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand, Gauteng.

24th April 2026, which is the first day of the event, is tagged "VIP Day".

After several hugely successful shows, HuntEx continues to provide a showcase for the trade and an opportunity for hunters and firearm enthusiasts to pursue their passion.

 Since 2011, HuntEx, owned by Edushow Pty Ltd (trading as HuntEx) and organised by Adriaan Woudstra, has attracted hunters, firearm owners, and outdoor enthusiasts from all over the country to the single-largest exhibition of its kind in Africa.

Since its first exhibition in 2011, HuntEx has taken the local market by storm and soon earned a reputation as the biggest hunting show ever held in southern Africa.

International manufacturers of firearms and related products and services scrambled to be part of this event to reach the lucrative local market. Their presence raised the bar for hunting and firearms shows in southern Africa and added value to an event, giving local enthusiasts so much more to choose from.

There is no doubt that HuntEx expanded the trading platform for the firearms and hunting sector. Visitor numbers grew annually, and HuntEx burst at the seams in 2018 and 2019. The trade flourished, creating greater awareness of the hunting and sport-shooting sector as part of a traditional lifestyle practised by many South Africans.

At the 2026 event, visitors can once again browse a wide selection of providers of firearms, optics, hunting and sport-shooting accessories and equipment, hunting packages and outfitters, outdoor destinations and lodges, and clothing and other consumables.

The expo is expected to include most of the previous exhibitors, along with newcomers who do not want to be left out of this vibrant sector.

HuntEx 2026 will again include a shooting range where visitors can experience shooting with AR-15 semi-automatic rifles and pistols. An archery range for youngsters will expose young enthusiasts to the art of bow-shooting.

The ever-popular HuntEx lottery, which generates huge anticipation among hopeful entrants, will be held throughout the event, offering great prizes. Visitors qualify for a free entry ticket to the lottery.
