Easy And Natural Means Of Making Your Teeth Whiter

As human beings grow, more acidic and other foods that affect the colour of the teeth are consumed more such as soda, red wine, sweets etc.

The changing of the teeth colour is usually a gradual process and can change from white to different shades of milk and brown colour.

Teeth whitening is expensive and as such have made most affected individuals not to be able to have the kind of the teeth colour they want.

In this context, there are numerous other ways to whiten your teeth not just naturally but less and far less expensive. Just follow any of the methods that best suit you below and see results in few days to weeks.

 

1.     Use Potash

Potash can be effectively used as a teeth whitener because of its strong alkali and bleaching properties which are why it is sometimes used in the making of soaps.

When used on the teeth, the potash oxidises the organic materials that stick to the teeth making it whiter.

How to use

  • Mix half spoon of potash with a half glass of water.
  • Pour in your mouth and hold for at least thirty minutes.
  • Use chewing stick or brush to scratch the affected parts.
  • Repeat this three times a week for effective result.

 

2.     Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide

To use the locally made baking soda and hydrogen peroxide toothpaste, which you can easily get from any grocery store or pharmaceutical shop around you.

How to Use

  • Mix a teaspoon each of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide.
  • Stir very well until it is well mixed.
  • Use a new toothbrush (soft) to dip in the mixture to brush your teeth, make sure the bristles touch all parts of the teeth.
  • Spit out the mixture in your mouth and use clean water to rinse it.
  • Use toothpaste with fluoride to brush your mouth with a different brush this time.
  • Repeat this few times per week and you will see results.

 

3.     Use Activated Charcoal

Activated charcoal is a medicinal type of charcoal that is used to treat certain illness. This product can be purchased in a chemist or any pharmacy shop within your area.

How to use

  • Use your brush to collect enough quantity of the charcoal and water.
  • Brush your teeth with the activated charcoal.
  • After about five minutes, rinse your mouth and

4.     Whitening your teeth with strawberry paste

Strawberry is a popular fruit that has a lot of health benefits. It contains antioxidant and its popularity is as a result of its aroma, reddish colour and taste.

How to use

  • Cut the strawberry and squeeze the juicy liquid out of it.
  • Add a half spoon of baking soda.
  • Use a toothbrush to collect the mixture and use it to brush your teeth.
  • Hold the juicy liquid in your mouth for about five minutes so that it will soften the affected areas of your teeth.
  • Spit it out from your mouth and use clean water to rinse your mouth.
  • Use normal toothpaste and a different toothbrush to brush your teeth.
  • Repeat this at least once a day for a better result.

 

5.     Whitening your teeth with orange peels

Orange is a well-known fruit with so many vital minerals and which can also be used in teeth whitening; the white fleshly part of the orange is used for this exercise.

How to use

  • Peel enough oranges and remove the white part of the skin.
  • Put them in your mouth and chew for about five minutes.
  • Use a toothbrush to brush the already chewed orange peels up and around your teeth.
  • Pour out and use your toothpaste to brush your mouth.
  • Repeat this very often so as to get a positive result in less than one month.

 

6.     Whitening teeth with banana peel

It might be surprising to know that even a banana peel is not a waste after all, as it can be used in whitening the teeth due to its medicinal composition; however, it is only the peel of ripe bananas that can be effective in this case.

How to use

  • Peel the banana and apply the peeled part of it directly to your teeth.
  • Cut off a small part so as to be able to reach every part of your teeth.
  • Alternatively, you can chew the peeled part of the banana and hold it in your mouth for about five minutes or more.
  • Use your normal fluoride toothpaste to brush your mouth after you have spit out the crushed banana peel.
  • Repeat this treatment twice a week for a better result.

 

You are advised to stay away from tobacco, black coffee, dark sauces and other related food and drinks that can change the colour of the teeth during and after this treatment.

Do not overuse any of this method as it can cause permanent damage to your teeth, it is always advised to seek the services of a dentist before applying this very method.
