Miss Nigeria UK, formerly known as Mr. and Miss Nigeria UK, is an annual cultural pageant that showcases Nigerian culture in the diaspora.
The 2026 Miss Nigeria UK beauty contest Grande Finale will take place on 24th October. Application Deadline: June 26, 2026, at Shaw Theatre, Kings Cross
The event takes place in commemoration of Nigeria’s Independence and is aimed at empowering and enriching the Nigerian culture in the UK and uniting British-born and raised Nigerians with their heritage
This unique event is celebrated not only to entertain people but also to instill an appreciation of the country's diverse cultures among Nigerians born and raised in the United Kingdom.
This colorful event is also celebrated to show strong support within the British-Nigerian community by integrating people through several cultural activities of Miss Nigeria UK.
It is a trend that the winners of Miss Nigeria UK will carry out a humanitarian assignment in the form of charity. This is done to give hope to the poor, the sick, the less privileged, and other vulnerable people in society.
This unique event always draws a large crowd at the grand finale, where the winners, one male and one female, will be crowned by the panel of judges.
Also, the 1st runner(s) up and 2nd runner(s) up will be awarded accordingly, and the contestants will be judged based on their poise, communication, personality, walk, talent, and question answering.
MISSION: To expose the rich cultural heritage of Nigeria to the world, especially Nigerians born and brought up in the United Kingdom.

CRITERIA FOR APPLICATION
- Applicant must be a resident in the United Kingdom and able to travel to Europe, America, and Africa freely in order to compete in the Cultural Pageant.
- Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 28 by the start of the event to compete in the Beauty Pageant (anyone under the age of 18 when applying must seek parental permission before entering)
- Applicant must be of at least 50% Nigerian Heritage.
- The Entry Fee of £75 must be paid via our *PayPal link on our website before details of the casting will be passed on.
- Applicants are aware that all costs relating to the pageant must be covered by the applicant
- Applicants must understand the responsibility of being involved in the competition and need to be flexible during the process, and understand that, should they win, the flexibility must continue.
- Applicant must have some knowledge of their heritage and cultural background and be willing to learn more in order to move forward in the competition
- Applicant must have a project or business idea that they wish to pursue and develop
There are NO height, size, or weight requirements to enter this competition

APPLICATION PROCESS

ii. Application fees can only be paid in advance via the PayPal link on our website https://www.officialmnuk.com/. All PayPal payments are secure; if you are worried about anything going wrong, please do get in contact first.
iii. Applicants MUST attend a casting where they will be judged on their poise, personality, communication, and walk.
iv. Applicants will be informed of the outcome 2 weeks after ALL castings are complete.
v. The top 20 contestants (10 male, 10 female) will be put forward for a public vote to help decide on the final 12 contestants (6 male, 6 female). The top 20 will all record ‘about me’ videos to help the public cast their votes.

This annual event often encourages contestants to embrace their heritage and learn what it means to truly represent their country.
