Lake Efi Fishing Festival

This is a cultural festival of the Efi people performed at Efi Lake in SabagreiaKolokuma/Opokuma Local Government of Bayelsa State in appreciation to the goddess of the river for a productive annual fish harvest. 

This is an occasional festival that is celebrated once every seven years and as directed by the chief priest of Efi Lake.

Some of the entertaining cultural activities include boat regatta, canoe ride and fishing competition.

Sons and daughters of the town and visitors return to witness the cultural festival and are free to purchase assorted kinds of fish of various sizes at affordable prices
